Her mom had forgotten to pack her sneakers. So she had to wear these hot boots all day. Nina's baby sister, Lulu, took up most of Mom's time now. "Baby first," her mom always said. "Nina, please join us for the craft," Miss Shelly said. Nina slowly walked over. The table was covered in orange, brown, and green. "It looks like a pumpkin patch!" Izzie said. "We're going to make yarn pumpkins," Miss Shelly said. Things You'll Need: - orange yarn (cut into 90 centimeters pieces) - wooden sticks - balloons - green pipe cleaners - brown pipe cleaners - scissors - a plastic fork - white glue Do It Yourself: 1) Blow up the balloon about halfway.This will be the size of your pumpkin. 2) Tie a piece of yarn to the balloon and hang it from a stick. 3) Use the fork to dip a piece of yarn into a bowl of glue. 4) Starting at one end of the balloon, wrap the yarn around it. Continue wrapping the balloon until you have covered the whole balloon with yarn. 5) Let the balloon dry for 24 hours. 6) When the yarn is completely dry, gently press your fingers down on the balloon to release the balloon from the yarn. 7) Make a tiny hole in the balloon to let out the air. Let some air leak out. Then pull out the balloon gently. 8) Curl 1 brown pipe cleaner around your finger to make the pumpkin's stem. Curl 2 pieces of green pipe cleaner to make vines.
